Oneida Walker, 92, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2009. Out of area services will be 11 a.m., Monday, August 10, at Cedar Pointe Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas. Visitation in Waco will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, August 13, at China Spring Cemetery.

Oneida Emogene was born in Mt. Calm, Texas, to the late Leonard and Bessie (Walsh) Clements, and attended China Spring schools. She and O. D. Walker were married Nov. 3, 1934. They resided in Wortham Bend and China Spring until October 1997, when they moved to Nebraska to be near family. She moved to Derby, Kan. in 2003. She was employed by China Spring Schools for 27 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, O. D. Walker, in November, 2000.

She leaves behind daughters, Nelda Wagner and husband, Dave, of Sioux Falls, S.D., Virginia Kinkade, of Derby, Kan., and Norma Walker-French and husband, Tom, of Wichita, Kan.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Lessie Kirch, of Englewood, Fla.; sister-in-law, Adene Clements, of El Paso; many other relatives and friends.
