Everett Hill was a resident of Hudson Falls NY for almost all of his 81 years. He grew up in the home of his step-father, Louis Reed, at 31 Wright Street. He lived there with his mother Lillian and his younger brother Ray.

On Dec 28, 1907, Everett married Charlotte Bussing. At this time, Everett was working at the Union Bag Co. The young couple moved into the family home at 31 Wright St. In 1908 a daughter, Lillian was born and in 1910 a second daughter Charlotte came into this world. In 1914 Everett's wife Charlotte died. In 1920, Everett married Minnie Peters. They brought the house at 8 Wright St. Minnie died in 1939. On Sept 7, 1940, Everett and Harriet Bailey was married. She died in 1956. He married Lola Holland in 1958. She died in 1966.

Everett was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hudson Falls, Sanatatea Lodge 840, IOOF; Sandy Hill Lodge 288. Rebekahs, and Sagamore Encampment 193 of South Glens Falls. He is survived by two step-sons, Gerald Laney of South Glens Falls and Edward Kingsley of Glens Falls; two daughters Mrs. Allen Moore of Hudson Falls and Mrs. Kenneth Corlew of Gansevoort; four step-daughters. Mrs. Mildred Gibson and Mrs. Leah Allen of South Glens Falls, Mrs. Walter Pattee Hudson Falls and Mrs. Francis Waldron of Saratoga Springs; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Gravesite Details

Hill and Reed are two sides of the same stone. Everett Hill and his wives are buried on the west side of the stone and the Reeds are buried on the east side of the stone. There is another grave marker on the east side for Mary Montana 1816-1889
