OBITUARIES
WAPPINGERS FALLS -
Benjamin Rothstein, died
Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003 at
home.
He lived in Wappingers Falls
since 1967, originally from
Amenia, where he had managed
a summer resort with his wife for
10 years. Mr. Rothstein was a bus
driver for the Wappingers School
District, retiring in 1980. He
served in the Army Air Corps, in
the South Pacific and the
Philippines.
Born in Sharon, Conn., on
Dec. 25, 1915, he was the son of
Samuel and Lena Weber
Rothstein. On June 8, 1941, he
married Ray M. Hardman in the
Bronx. Mrs, Rothstein survives
at home.
In addition to his wife,
survivors include a son, Mark
Rothstein; a daughter, Denise
Rothstein, at home; a sister, Edith
Rosehack of Dania, Fla.; and
several nieces and nephews. A
sister, Faye Goldberg,
predeceased him.
Graveside services and burial
were held on Friday, Dec. 26, at
Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery,
with Rabbi Paul Golomb
officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted
to the William G. Miller and Son
Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker
Avenue, Poughkeepsie.
