Mrs. Hattie McKee Dies After Short Illness
Mrs, Hattie McKee, age 40, wife of W. L. McKee, died at the Valley hospital, West Point, last Monday morning, May 2, following an illness of one week.
The deceased was born and reared in Wedowee, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Holloway of that place. She had made her home at the Avondale Mill for some time. She was a member of the Methodist church at Midway. Funeral service was held from the Midway church on Tuesday, May 3rd, with Rev. Murphy officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.
Surviving are a husband, W. L. McKee; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Holloway, Wedowee, and two sons, W. C. and C. F. McKee, LaFayette. Also surviving are five brothers, John, Ocie, Ronnie, Jim and Pierre Holloway, and three sisters, Bessie, Jessie and Essie Holloway.
