Vaughn of Eaton Rapids died age 78 on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at a Lansing hospital. Born July 24, 1929 in Lansing, the son of Albert and Elsa (Warner) Zenker. Vaughn worked at Motor Wheel for 5 years, REO for 3 years and retired after 30 years of service for Jet Die and Engineering in Lansing. He loved his family and enjoyed cutting fire wood. Vaughn fought a long hard fight with his illness and will be deeply missed by family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents; and brothers, Basil and Bruce Zenker. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maxine; son, Steve (Shay) Zenker; daughter, Jill (Tom) Paine; 3 grandchildren, Nicki Zenker, Kiersten and Andrew Paine; sister, Lynne Eglon.
