"Walsie R. Davis born in Wynn, Ark., on Nov. 6, 1929. She passed away after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's. She passed away on Jan. 19, 2008. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Callie Farris; sisters, Lily, Artie, Zella, Vertie, Elsie; and brother, Luther. Walsie is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence; sons, Larry (Dee Dee) of Westminister, and Cliff (Barbara) of Pueblo West; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sister, Sybile Prince of Colorado Springs; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Walsie retired from St. Mary Corwin Hospital after 17 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, traveling, fishing and riding in the Model A. Visitation, 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Funeral service, 1 p.m. Thursday, Imperial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado through the funeral home office."
