Harley Lindaman, Wellsb'g Retailer, Succumbs Monday
Harley B. Lindaman, 47, a partner in the H. Lindaman & Sons firm at Wellsburg, died in the office of the lumber yard Monday noon of a heart attack.
Although he had complained of not feeling well and of being dizzy, Lindaman continued to work as usual at the lumber yard Monday morning.
Shortly before noon, and while waiting on two customers, he dropped dead in the office. Death was due to a heart attack.
Lindaman's death came as a great shock to the community. He had been in apparent good health.
His unexpected death came only 20 days after his father, Ben Lindaman, passed away in a Waterloo nursing home.
Funeral services for Harley B. Lindaman will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the home, and at 2 p.m. in the Second Christian Reformed church, Rev. Carl Toeset officiating.
Burial will be in the Shiloh cemetery at the south edge of Wellsburg.
The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Friday, and may be viewed until the time of the funeral service. The casket will not be opened following the service.

Harley Benjamin Lindaman was born July 13, 1912, in Wellsburg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben H. Lindaman.
He attended the Wellsburg grade and high school, and was graduated with the class of 1930.
On March 21, 1935, he was united in marriage to Alice Harlan, and the couple spent their entire married lives together in Wellsburg.
Upon completing his education he worked in the Haack Bros. general store in Wellsburg for five years, and for the past 20 years had been associated with H. Lindaman & Sons Lumber Company.
He was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church, which he served as Sunday school superintendent, as a church officer and as a member of the Men's Society.
Mr. Lindaman also was serving as a director of the Peoples Savings Bank at the time of his death. He also was a director of the Wellsburg Community Club, and had served for several years as a member of the school board.
He was in service during World War II, having received his honorable discharge at Camp Beal on December 15, 1945.
He is survived by his widow, three daughters and one son, Ardythe, Mrs. Ronald Siefken of Holland, Robert of Wellsburg, and Virgina and Catherine, both at home. Also six grandchildren, his mother and one sister, Mrs. Wm Peters, Aplington.
