ANASTATIA THAYER
Mrs. Anastatia Thayer died of heart trouble at her home on Fayette street Monday evening, November 20th, 1916. She had been in poor health for several months, but her death was unexpected. She passed into eternal sleep peacefully and quietly and without warning that the end was near.

Anastatia Wilcox was born in Jefferson county, New York May 5th, 1853. She was united in marriage with Arthur R. Thayer in 1871. Two children were born to them, Arthur R. and Dr. D. O. Thayer. She leaves surviving a sister, Mrs. Rose James Clark of LaCrosse, Wis, a niece Mrs. Lou James Krumseig, of Chicago, and two nephews, W. H. James of Chicago and C. J. Wilcox of Grandmeadow, Minnesota.

The funeral service was held at the Baptist church this (Wednesday) afternoon, at 2 o'clock. Rev. Mr. McDonald officiating.

The gentle loving traits of character of the deceased endeared her to all who knew her. In the death of her son, Dr. D. O. Thayer, she sustained a grief from which she never recovered. Her health failed steadily from the time of his death. Their friends sympathize with the family in their loss.

Friends and relatives from out of town who are here for the funeral are Mrs. Lydia Lyons and Harriet Laney of Onslow, Mrs. Nellie Blanchard and Mrs. Morris Mellon of Edgewood Raymong Krumseig and Mrs. W. H. James of Chicago and Mrs. Rose Clark of LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
