Verna Goodman
CRESWELL — Verna Goodman of Creswell died Aug. 6 of cancer. She was 58. A private celebration of life will be held later.
She was born Sept. 3, 1950, in Oakridge to Norma Jean Goodman. Her life partner of 22 years, Robert Mahaffey, died in January 2001.
She graduated from Springfield High School in 1969. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Roger of Springfield; a daughter, Jennifer Goodman of Lorane; two brothers, Emory of Portland and Gary of Springfield; a sister, Rose Ann Goodman of Creswell; and two grandchildren. A son, Brian Keith Goodman, died previously.
