Funeral services for Earl H. Gash, 67, a longtime University of California employee, were held here Saturday.
Gash died last Monday after a month's illness. Survivors include his widow, Audie; a daughter, Mrs. Ellora Weber of Fresno; a son, Wendell L. Gash of Davis; brothers, Ben L. and Archie R. Gash, both of Fresno, and Artie Il Gash of Dundee, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Verda Gatlin of Ada Okla., and four grandchildren.
Gash has been employed by the university for 45 years and came to the Davis campus in 1942 to work in the agronomy department. He was principal superintendent in the department at the time of his retirement in 1961.
At one time he worked at the university's experimental farm on the Kearney estate in Fresno before being transferred to Riverside. He moved from Riverside to Davis.
Gash was a native of Oklahoma.
Interment was in the Davis Cemetery.
