Henry Becker, Jr., aged 49 years, 5 months ad 19 day, passed away at his residence eighteen miles west of Ritzville Tuesday evening following a long illness. Mr. Becker, who had been a successful farmer in the western part of the county for nearly thirty years, was the son of Henry Becker. Sr., pioneer shoemaker of Ritzville.

Surviving the deceased are his widow, one son, William Becker, and four daughters, Mrs. John lesser, Mrs. John Becker and Anna and Lucille. A son, Harry, preceded his father in death three years ago. A sister, Mrs. Pauline Melcher, also survives, as well as three brothers; John, Fred and Alex Becker.

Funeral services will be held from the Brockmann church two miles west of the Hoefel school house at 1:30 Friday afternoon, the Rev. Henry Brockmann officiating. Interment will be made in the family plot at Rtizville cemetery at 2:30. There will be a short service at the cemetery for the Ritzville firend who are unable to attend the church service.
