Becker: ( b. Mar 12, 1920, d. Sep 26, 2005) Clara S. Melcher Becker died Sept 26, 2005 at her home in Sprague. The daughter of Henry and Katherine (Kammerzel) Melcher, she was born March 12, 1920 at Schrag. She grew up on a farm southwest of Odessa and attended a country school near Batum. She married Fred F Becker on Sept 11, 1940 in Coeur d'Alene. They farmed and raised their family near Sprague until 1964. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred in 1979; sons Ronnie Becker in 2002 and Larry Becker in 2004; 14 brothers and sisters, and two grandsons. Survivors include one sister, Eleanor Schell of Ritzville, 5 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Interment was at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery.
