MIKADO - Gilbert L. Lumbard, 54, of Mikado, died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at his home.



He was born February 10, 1948, in Hazel Park, Mich. He was raised in Lake Orion. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was employed with General Motors as an electrician. On November 22, 1986, he married Donna Nelson in Lake Orion. They resided in Pontiac until moving to Mikado in 1997. He was a life member of the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 133 of Pontiac.



He is survived by his wife; seven children, William Green of Ortonville, Anita Gail Green of Texas, Gregory Lumbard of Lake Orion, Walter Green of Pontiac, Winston Green of Texas, Matthew Lumbard of Lake Orion, and Jenelle Lumbard of Lake Orion; and a sister, Deborah.



Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 21, at 2 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln with the Reverend Edward Seward officiating. Burial was at Mikado Cemetery.
