JENNINGS
Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson (Laura Ann Gary) Landry, 71, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2009 in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Msgr. Jace Eskind officiating.

Burial will be in the Doucet Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Funeral home visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until 10:00 p.m., today, Saturday; and 8:00 a.m., Sunday until time of services.

A Cursillo Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., today, Saturday in the funeral home chapel.

Mrs. Landry died at 11:07 p.m., Thursday, August 6, 2009 at her residence.

Mrs. Landry was a 26 year resident of the Jennings/Hathaway area moving here from Welsh. She was a member of the Tuesday night Pokeno Group and St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a retired cafeteria worker in Welsh and Hathaway.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Mr. Wilson J. Landry of Jennings; four daughters, Bonnie Landry of Iowa, LA, Kathryn Watson and husband John of Minot, ND, Julia LeBlanc and husband Wes of Roanoke, Sandra Cary of Hathaway; five sons, Myron Wayne Landry and wife, Paula of Jennings, Paul Landry and wife Renee of Kinder, Tim Landry and wife Chantal of Iowa, LA, Wilson Dean Landry and wife Pam of Hathaway, Steven Landry and wife Daphne of Holmwood; two sisters, Bernice Hebert of Iowa and Verna Gary of Jennings; one brother, Dewey Gary of Jennings; 20 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren with numerous step grandchildren.

"Maw Maw" will be greatly missed by all the people whose lives she has touched.

Pallbearers will be her sons, sons-in-law and grandsons.

Preceded in death by her parents, Cleophas and Durelia Landry Gary; one sister, Rita Leger, four brothers, Andrew, Wallace, Amos and Elmer Gary; and one great grandchild, Lorren Landry.
