John Wilford Mariner, age 62, passed away, Thursday, February 14, 2008 in Lakeside, Arizona.

John was born December 6, 1945 in Mullins, South Carolina, to John & Irene (Owens) Mariner. He did everything his way! He was a mechanic, who loved to travel and race cars; as well as break horses. While John lived in Alaska he was a fishing boat guide. He was a friend as soon as you met him. John will be missed by all, especially his family, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He is survived by a son, Joseph Beard; parents, Irene & Clarence Davis; 3 sisters, Rene Austin, Barbara (Sam) Sollars, Starr (Dan) Nicholas; 7 brothers, Ernie (Lois) Mariner, Terry (Kim) Smith, Jim (Carol) Davis, Bruce (Debbie) Davis, Mike (Barbara) Davis, Brent (Loretta) Davis, David (Michelle) Davis. He is preceded in death by his father, John Mariner; 2 brothers, Byron S. Mariner, and Michael T. Mariner; brother-in-law, Charles M. Austin.

A visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the Snowflake Owens Mortuary 84 E. 19 S., Snowflake, Arizona. Graveside services will be Monday, February 18, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at the Snowflake Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in John Mariner's name to RTA Hospice & Palliative Care 1789 W. Commerce Dr. Lakeside, Arizona 85929
