Harry Kinsey, 79, of Indianola died of complications of Parkinson's disease Thursday at home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at Norwood Cemetery in Lucas County.
Mr. Kinsey was born in Faribault, Minn., and had lived in Indianola since 1958. He was an electrician and the owner and operator of Kinsey Electric before retiring. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, when he received several decorations. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, American Legion Post 165 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4123. He was a past president and honorary member of the Warren County Quarter Horse Association. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed horse shows, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene; three daughters, Vicki Radtke of Unadella, Neb., and Mickey Kinsey and Joani Kinsey, both of Indianola; and a brother, George of Chariton.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 165.
