D.L. Woods was born March 20, 1934, in Lexington, Tennessee to Thomas and Georgia (Sisk) Woods and passed from this life on August 5, 2009, in Blanchard, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 15 days. D.L. was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Era and retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. After his retirement from military service D.L. worked for the Foremost Company as a refrigeration technician and retired after 10 years. He then owned the Twist Off Bar in Apache, OK for the past 14 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers and sisters, Bob, Rex, Eva, Marie and Ann. His surviving family includes his children, Jan and Duane Workman, of Stilwell, Ricky and Laura Woods, of Blanchard, OK, Vickey Woods and Eddie Neptaly Moreno, of Stilwell, Debbie and Leon Saldierna, of Stilwell, Lisa Woods, of Stilwell and Theresa and Gregg Fourkiller, of Stilwell, 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2009, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Audie Vaughan officiating. Interment will be at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
