Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Peters observed their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 28. Mr. Peters was married to Jerusha Craft in 1872. They lived in Pleasant Valley township thirty-five years. Mr. Peters carried mail for several years going three days a week. At that time there was a post office at Illyria and Highland and the route started at Illyria to Elgin, then to Highland. It was afterwards changed from Illyria to Highland, then to Elgin, In the year 1907, they moved to North Dakota where they now reside.
