Brenda J. Whalin, 56, formerly of Louisville, died Friday at Indian Creek Health & Rehab Center in Corydon, IN. She was the former Brenda Hooper. She is survived by her daughter, Dianna Schnell (Rick); brothers, Joseph Leon Hooper (Norma) and Donald Dwain Hooper; three nieces; three nephews; two great-nieces; and one-great-nephew. Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Hwy., with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Monday. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.
