Lavena S. Freeman, 92, formerly of 847 Parkway Drive, died Saturday at Baptist Home East. She was the former Lavena Marlow, a native of Shelby County and a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church. Survivors: a daughter, Pauline Edie; a son, Raymond D. Freeman Sr.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy: memorial fund of her church.
