Valentine Martin Hartlage, Sr., 67, a retired truck gardener, died at 9 p.m. yesterday at his residence, 6730 Marian Drive. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Lawrence Church and the St. Joseph Orphan Society and was past president of the Holy Name bowling league. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rosalia Schick Hartlage; a daughter, Mrs. John Riplinger; five sons, Fred, Joseph, Valentine, Jr.; Edward, and Francis Hartlage; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Vogt and Mrs. Louis Goss, and two brothers, Leo and Robert Hartlage. The body is at Hardy Funeral Home, 4101 Dixie Highway.

Funeral services Wednesday, July 30 at 9 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church. Interment St. Andrews Cemetery. Members of the Holy Name Society will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel.
