Dan was born April 29, 1950 in Abilene, TX to William Roy and Eula Gladeen Pringle. He later served his country honorably in the United States Navy where he was stationed in Puerto Rico. He worked for the city of Abilene parks department for twenty five years and enjoyed attending church at First Baptist Church of Hawley. In Lieu of flowers the family would like to suggest memorials be sent to Hendrick Hospice Care at 1682 Hickory St. Abilene, TX 79601.

Roy Dan Pringle or as everyone called him Big Dan, was a wonderful person. He had a heart of gold, and was always one to add an opinion to everything that went on around him.
He was not shy by any means, and would talk to almost anyone he'd meet.
He had so many friends we couldn't keep up with all of them. Jackie Parker (Jack) and Johnny Clinton (Johhny Mack) were his best friends of all times.
Dad loved fishing, camping, painting, football (☆GO COWBOYS!☆), umpiring, coaching football, and baseball.
His family was important to him, and he tried everyday to live life the best it handed him.
He was strong to the end. Caring and honest. In life he touched a-lot of people with his ways. His coaching little league football and baseball, and his umpiring were things he loved very much. He'd say, "I used to umpire that kid, he was a good kid."
When I was younger, my dad would always say to me,
"Someday sissy, you'll look back and say, 'Ole dad was right." And truth be told, he was. I do look back and say that, almost everyday.
He is loved by many, and missed by many more.

✭✮✰☆★I Miss You Dad★☆✰✮✭
I miss you dearest Dad, you're always on my mind.
I look to heaven in the night, I hope your star I'll find.
The days are long and somber, without you here with me.
You've gone from earth, you walk with God, you're soul has been set free.
Slowly, I'll get better and go on day by day.
Never forgetting, always loving, each and every way.
Thank you Dad for making me what I have become.
I'm very proud to brag, I know where I am from.
My rock you are, and were always. The one I could depend.
Thank you Dad, for being Dad, my father and my friend.
❤Love❤,
Kiersty
