Mrs. Jacob Barrett, 76 of 619 Sylvan St., died Friday May 27, in her home.
Mary Addelene (Addie) Emley, the daughter of Alice Ketcham and Harvey J. Emley, was born Sept. 16, 1889 in Hartford. She was married to Jacob Barrett Feb. 1, 1910 in Emporia. He died June 6, 1922 in Olpe.
She was a member of the First Friends Church in the Twin Mound neighborhood.
Mrs. Barrett was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Ray, Roy, Reed and Ralph. She is survived by 6 sons, Ralph J., Hartford, Harold G., Kansas City, Mo., Chester D., 615 Sylvan St., Vernon R., 1340 Woodland, and Wayne D., Council Grove, one daughter, Mrs. E. P. (Nora) Brickley, 315 W. Logan Ave., 2 brothers, Roscoe Emley, 715 Arundel, and Riley Emley, Wichita, 2 sisters, Mrs. Allan Dickason, 1 Weaver and Mrs. Frank Cunningham, Olpe; 22 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon, May 31, in the chapel of Roberts Blue Barnett Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul W. Barnett, pastor of the First Friends Church, conducted the services. Burial was in the Hartford Cemetary
