Raymond Paul Loetscher Sr. of Little Rock died Wednesday, March 1, 2000. He was 81.
He was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Men's Club and Arkansas Travelers Antique Car Club.
He was a combat veteran of World War II. He started Loetscher's Garage and Body Shop in 1947. He also started the Baseline Fire Department and was chief for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Andrew Loetscher and Emma Loetscher, and two brothers, Louie Loetscher and Charles Loetscher.
Survivors include his wife, Ava Louise Loetscher; two sons, Ray Loetscher of Little Rock and Clay Loetscher of Benton; three granddaughters, Cindy Darnell of Jones, Okla., Denise Chiarizzio of Bryant and Pamela Shannon of Cammack Village; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bernice Gideon of Little Rock.
Funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Theresa's Catholic Church. A rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. today with visitation following at Roller-Drummond Southwest Chapel with the Rev. John McConnell officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to St. Theresa's Building Fund.
