He was the son of Mrs. Maggie Laird of Gibson Street in Miami, and the brother of Mrs. Fred Funk of Miami. He died in San Diego, Calif., and his body was shipped to Miami for burial. His mother started for San Diego when she received a message about his serious illness, then turned back from a station close to Bowie when she received word of his death. Knox lived in Miami for many years.
