Mrs. Martha Allen Herrin, 88, passed away Sunday (November 3, 2019) at the Baptist Village Retirement Communities following an extended illness.

She was born in Patterson, GA but had resided in Ware County most of her life. She was a member of Sweat Memorial Baptist Church and secretary at C&M Oil Company.

Mrs. Herrin was a daughter of the late Andrew H. Allen and Dora Robinson Allen. She was married to the late Leon Franklin Herrin, Sr. and also preceded in death by a son, Leon F. Herrin, Jr.; and a daughter, Carol Jane Herrin.

She is survived by Sue Altman (James) of Waycross; four grandchildren, Talmadge J. “Tal” Altman (Ginny) of Hoboken, Chad Leon Herrin (Jessica) of Hoboken, B.J. Lee of Millwood, and Monica P. Herrin of Millwood; seven grandchildren, Katie Lynn Altman, Vivian Sue Ellen Altman, Lillian James Altman, Conner Herrin, Cooper Herrin, Ian Lee, and Harper P. Carter; and a sister, Dorothy Allen.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (November 5, 2019) at Greenlawn Cemetery.
