In 1942 Wanda (age 42) went to the Doctor. The Dr. told her she had a tumor. Surprise, surprise - that tumor turned out to be a beautiful baby boy that they named Roger Wayne. By then his 3 sisters were 19, 14, and 12 years old. The girls were ecstatic to finally have a boy in the family.

When grown, Roger joined the Navy for a short term. After that, he studied and became a Paramedic.

He met and married his wife, Mary. They had a daughter, Sherry, then a son.
Sherry was a pretty child, healthy and active.
After High School, Sherry met and became engaged to a young man that her parents were very fond of. She was 19, planning a dream of a lifetime wedding, and she and her fiancé' decided to go out to a movie. On their way home, they were struck by a DRUNK DRIVER, and both of those beautiful, young lives were snuffed out.
Sherry's father, Roger, was a paramedic, and on duty at the time. He was the one called to the scene of the accident. What a heartbreak. It was a devastating blow to Roger. He was never able to work in that capacity again. He worked at odd jobs mostly at the docks in San Pedro whenever possible.

Roger had a heart attack in the '80's, and further heart problems in 2006.
Retired, and living in San Pedro, Roger spent a lot of time enjoying his 3 Granddaughters thru his son.
