Daley rites
held Monday

Garland C. Daley, 74, of Perryton, died March 20, 1993.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 22, at First United Methodist Church. Officiating were Rev. C. Edward Allsup, pastor; Rev. Stacy Hughes, pastor of First Christian Church and Elton Symons, Methodist layman.

Burial followed, under the direction of Boxwell Brothers, in Ochiltree Cemetery.

He was born March 30, 1918 in Ochiltree County, and was a life-time resident. He graduated from Perryton High School in 1936, and married Agnes Macy on April 18, 1941 in Miami, Oklahoma.

He operated Daley's, with his brother Phil, from 1946 until the business was sold in 1988. A member of the Perryton Lions Club, he served as its president in 1962.

He was also a Mason, and member of the American Legion, serving in the United States Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes, of the home; two daughters, Carol Mitchell of Abilene and Diane Eagle of Liberal, KS; a brother, Phil Daley of Perryton; and two grandchildren.
