Ethel Louise Byrum of Cabot, Arkansas, formerly of Charleston, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2009, in a North Little Rock Hospital. She was born September 16, 1915 in the Ursula Community near Charleston to the late William R. Cargile and Ethel Faye Ables Cargile. She was 93 years old.

She was a retired seamstress for the Hill Company in Charleston, was a member of the Extension Homemakers Club for 79 years, served as an Assistant Sunday School Teacher and member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Eberly Luther Byrum; one daughter, Glenda Martin; one son, David Lee Byrum, and one grandson, Gary Dick.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Terry Fortner officiating the service. Burial will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

She is survived by two daughters, Helen Vann & husband Donnie of Cabot, Arkansas and Peggy Penfield & husband Charles of Bryant, Arkansas; one son, Jerry Byrum & wife Alana of Gig Harbor, Washington; Son-In-Law, Johnny Martin of Hot Springs; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Pall Bearers will be Darrell Vann, Danny Chism, Lane Byrum, Brent Martin, Cole Martin, and Keaton Weeks.
