Nina Lillian Brimhall, 76, died Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at home in Taylor.

Nina was born in Rulo, Nebraska, and while she was still a small child the family moved to Tacoma, Washington. She received her early education there. She married Gerald Brimhall July 30, 1944, in Tacoma and they made their home there until 1962, when they moved to Glendale. They moved to Taylor in 1979. She was a homemaker and loved staying home and raising her children. Her family always came first. In 1953, she became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in the different auxiliaries of the church. Nina was an avid reader. She enjoyed cooking, baking and raising a garden, The family including the grandchildren, will always remember the sewing she did, making each of them different clothing-dresses with ruffles and lace and pajamas and robes.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald W. Brimhall of Taylor; three daughters, Billie Abington, Donna (Steve) Foster, and Phyllis Irwin all of Taylor; one son, Gerald John (Dea) Brimhall of Littleton, Colorado; four brothers, Charles (Mary) Simmonds, Richard (Judy) Simmonds, Donald (Donna) Simmonds all of Tacoma, Washington, and John (Barbara) Simmonds of Cinabar, Washington; nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Byron Abington.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 6 at 10 a.m. at the Taylor Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the church Tuesday. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
