Rebecca Briggs Dies Sunday in Great Falls
Mrs. William E. (Rebecca) Briggs, 74, of Great Falls and formerly of the Dutton area, died Sunday afternoon in a Great Falls hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the George Company Mortuary in Great Falls. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was born Oct. 30, 1891, in Wayne, W.Va., and came to Montana in 1914. She and her husband ranched in the Dutton area until his retirement in 1947 when they moved to Great Falls. He died in 1960. She belonged to Alpha Chapter of O.E.S. and West Side Methodist Church.
Survivors are sons, Ralph, Great Falls, and William R., Dutton; brothers, Fred V. Ferguson, Great Falls, and Raymond A. North, Webster, Ind.; a sister, Virginia Ferguson, Sioux Falls, S.D., and six grandchildren.
