Daurcy S. Smith
Daurcy S. SMITH, 70, died at 10 a.m. today at his home, one mile north of Rochester, following an illness of two years.
A retired carpenter, he was born Sept. 27, 1880, in Pennsylvania, and moved to this community from Culver 23 years ago. He was the son of George and Louise SMITH and on Oct. 25, 1903, he was married to Della RUSH at Mishawaka. He was a member of the Trinity EUB church.
Survivors include the wife; two sisters, Mrs. Merrell EDWARDS, Waukegan, Ill., and Mrs. William CLEARY, Benton Harbor, Mich.; a brother, Arthur [SMITH], of Niles, Mich., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral Home. The Rev. Stephen GUBI will officiate and burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
