Juanita, a resident of Lakewood, CA for 54 years, died after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of John Henry and Mary Catherine (Killough) Jackson.

Juanita was married on Oct. 13, 1938, in Carroll Co., AR to Auburn E. Buell. They celebrated 65 years of marriage in 2003.

Juanita attended AR schools before quitting to be married. She later returned to school and graduated from high school and then subsequently earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Business.

She was a dedicated Homemaker and an avid volunteer at the V.A. Medical Center in Long Beach, CA, serving thousands of hours before her health prevented her continuing. She was active in the VFW Auxiliary and served as Post President, District President and CA State Veterans Affairs Volunteer Services Chairman.

Funeral services were at Forest Lawn Cypress in the Church of Our Fathers. Interment immediately followed in the Garden of Protection.
