Mrs. Cecelia Jochimsen, about 88, a former Sioux Cityan once well known in Morningside, died recently in Los Angeles after a heart attack.
Friends here said Mrs. Jochimsen had fractured a hip in December, 1952, and never fully recovered from the injury.
She and her husband, C. P. Jochimsen and family left Sioux City October 1, 1911. He owned and operated a grocery store here at Cecelia park.
Former neighbors here said that Cecelia street and Cecelia park were named after Mrs. Jochimsen, and Alice, Helen and Rosella streets were named after daughters.
Friends said they understood the Jochimsen's once were land owners in Morningside.
Mr. Jochimsen died in 1946 and a son Edgar, died in February 1949.
Survivors include three sons, Frank and Edmond of Los Angeles and Charles of Hollywood, and three daughters, Mrs. Alice Iberg of Cottage Grove, Ore., Mrs. Helen Iberg and Mrs. Rosella Atkins of Los Angeles, and a sister, Marie, of Los Angeles.

Jochimsen, Cecilia, aged 87, of 1941 Park Grove, formerly of Sioux City, Iowa. She leaves three sons, Frank, Charles and Edmond and three daughters, Mrs. Alice Iberg, Mrs. Helen Iberg and Mrs. Roselia Atkins; a sister, Marie Johnson; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 2:30 p.m., at Pierce Brothers' Los Angeles, 720 West Washington Boulevard, followed by interment at Rosedale Cemetery.
