Mrs. Edwin Kind
Mrs. Edwin (Ella) Kind, 84 of 2217 Jackson St., New Holstein, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Nov 4, 1977, at Calumet Memorial Hospital.
Born in the Town of New Holstein on June 25, 1893, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Miller Hass. She was married to Edwin Kind on Feb. 22, 1922, in Chilton.
She was a lifelong resident of the New Holstein area and attended New Holstein Rural School. She was employed in the machine shop of the Lauson Division of Tecumseh Products Co. and also by Hipke Canning Co. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in New Holstein.
She is survived by her husband; five sons, Donald of Fond du Lac, Edwin Jr. of Route 2, Chilton, Elroy of La Crosse, Wilfred of Mazomanie and Roger of New Holstein; two daughters, Mrs Everett (Dorothy) Doerfler of Milwaukee and Mrs. Alex (Eloise) Ortega of Fontanna, Calif.; 24 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Louise Greve of New Holstein.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild, five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Monday at St. John's United Church of Christ in New Holstein with the Rev. Albert K. Borns officiating. Burial was in the New Holstein City Cemetery.
