Muscatine Journal - November 21, 1969

Lorin Howard Cochran, 63, of 913
Nebraska, was dead on arrival at
Muscatine General Hospital this
morning after suddenly becoming
ill.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Monday at the Otterbein United
Methodist church. The Rev. J. Paul
Stevens will officiate. Visitation
will begin Saturday morning at the
Geo. M. Wittich Funeral Home. Burial
will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
A son of Roy and Caroline Meyers
Cochran, he was born April 14, 1906,
at West Liberty. He resided here most
of his life. His marriage to Helen
Lanfier took place Sept. 22, 1928,
in Muscatne. He was a member of the
Otterbein United Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife; three sons,
Earl H., Vernon L. and Ivan L.,
all of Muscatine; one brother,
Robert A., Muscatine; four sisters,
Mrs. Myrtle Syphert, Mrs. Arthur
(Verda) LaRue, Mrs. Louis (Bessie)
Gray and Mrs. Viola Mathis, all of
Muscatine; and seven grandchildren.
His parents, two brothers and two
sisters preceded him in death.
