Mrs. Simpson, a homemaker, was born June 2, 1909, in Choctaw County. She was a member of New Haven Baptist Church.
Survivors include, one sister, Malinece Allen of Eupora; one sister-in-law, Myrtle Simpson; two nephews, Edwin Allen and Bobby Gibson; and eight nieces, Paulette Edwards, Darlene Jones, Faye Breazeale, Mareece Johnson, Bennie Pearson, Delois Hancock, Marcell Skeen and Linoa Newsome.
She was preceded in death by her husband Judge Truly Simpson.
Services were Oct. 6 at Wood Springs Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Revs. Sam West and Lanny Collum officiated.
Pallbearers were Shane Allen, Robert Allen, Jason Threet, Eddie Dean, Calvin Crimm and Tony Crimm.
Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
