Retirement brought Pat and Am to Manchester, VT and Stuart, FL and they enjoyed their winters in FL and summers in VT. The Yacht and Country Club became their full time residence with the onset of Am's Alzheimer's. Pat took care of Am at home until his death in 2005. They had been married 53 years at the time of Am's death.
Pat was an avid tennis player and a fierce competitor on the courts. She also enjoyed golf and was an active member of the Yacht and Country Club community.
Pat is survived by her loving children. Her daughters Ann Ferreira Kelly and Margaret T. Ferreira; her son Paul J. Ferreira and his wife Kathleen and her four cherished grandchildren Tyler and Meredith Kelly; Kelly and Megan Ferreira.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 11:00am, Peace Presbyterian Church 4881 S.E. Cove Road Stuart, Florida. Private inurnment for Pat and Am will be held at a later date in the Putnam Cemetery in Greenwich, CT. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Martin Funeral Home in Stuart, FL.
