OBITUARY

THE CHARITON PATRIOT
Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, December 17, 1970

Funeral services were held in Humeston Saturday, Dec. 12, for Arthur A. Duckworth, 91, who had died Dec. 9 at St. Mary's Hospital in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Mr. Duckworth, a long-time Humeston resident, was the last surviving Wayne county veteran of the Spanish-American War.

Survivors include a son, John, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. John Stevenson of Peru, Neb., and Mrs. Tom Pozarski of Chippewa Falls, Wis.; and a brother, Harry of Nebraska City.

Following funeral services by the Rev. Hidetoshi Tanaka, graveside rites were conducted by the Alva Eaton Post of the American Legion. Burial was in the New York Cemetery.
