Mrs. Minnie Lee Bennett Henderson, 97, of Chesnee, SC passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. She was the widow of William "Bill" Henderson.
Mrs. Henderson was a native of Spartanburg County and a daughter of the late William Grady and Patie Poteat Bennett. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons and daughters in law: W. G "Bill" and Linda Henderson of Chesnee, Ted W. and Gladys Henderson of Woodruff, and Bruce and Sonya Henderson of Boiling Springs; a sister: Lois Cantrell of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, and seventeen great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two grandchildren: Shane and Mike Henderson; a brother: Col. James Bennett and sisters: Ruby Coggins and Evelyn Jordan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Eggers Funeral Chapel officiated by Rev. Bobby Lindsey. Private interment will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens.
The family will meet friends following the service at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
The family will be at 170 Chigger Creek Road, Chesnee.
