BARRETT FRENCH
Gulfport - Nora Neil Barrett French, 90, died Monday, May 21, in Gulfport.
Mrs French was a Vancleave native and a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. She taught in the Harrison County and Jackson County schools, and was a member of Harrison County Retired Teachers' Association. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gulfport, Gulfport Garden Club, Gulfport 50 Plus Club, AARP and Gulfport Camellia Society.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas H. Barrett Sr. and Arthur W. French; her parents, Mary Ella and Henry T. Woodman; five sisters, Mary Cleora Woodman, Bernice Adeline Woodman, Naomi Krause, Wilhelmina T. Decock and Treasa Grace; and one brother, Richard R. Woodman.
Survivors include a son, Thomas H. Barrett Jr. of Long Beach; a daughter, Judy Barrett Conerly of Gulfport; a sister, Vaudie Grace of Fairfield, Calif; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p m today at Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue, Gulfport, where friends may call two hours before services.
Burial will be in Vancleave No 2 Cemetery in Vancleave.
