Obituary from Daily Herald dated Dec. 31, 1919
Theresa as you can see was an attractive lady. She enjoyed going regularly to the Fireman's Hall in Ocean Springs for their dances. At one ball she attended she was named the "Most Graceful" for her waltz.
Theresa had two children, Margaret and Charles. Margaret may have known who her father was. She would only say he was a man from New Orleans. Charles was the product of a relationship with Charles Cazeaux. Theresa never married.
Theresa died from pulmonary tuberculosis and bronchitis. Her mother and most of her sisters died from the same ailment.
Grandma Theresa is buried in a paupers grave. The only record with the city of her burial is a note referencing that her great granddaughter had told them about the burial. We do have the funeral home record showing where and when she was buried. Her sister, Henrietta Westbrook Kelly, paid for the funeral.
Her son, Charles, use to take his children to the cemetery to clean his mother's grave. They were told that Theresa actually shares her grave with 2 strangers.
