Marion, N.C. - Debra Kay Taylor Ward, 53, of Marion, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 30, 2009.
She was born February 11, 1956 to Roy Lee Taylor Sr. and Melba Young Taylor of Marion. Mrs. Ward loved her family very much.
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her husband, James Clayton Ward of the home; one son, Kevin Byrd of Marion; one granddaughter, Courtney Byrd of Marion; two brothers, Keith Taylor and wife, Connie, of Marion, and Roy Lee Taylor Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Nebo; three brothers-in-law, Bobby Ward of Hildebran, Jimmy Ward of Marion, and Eddie Ward of Morganton; one sister-in-law, Debbie Ward of Dysartsville; nine nieces and nephews, Dustin Taylor, Holly Croom, Brooke Hudgins, Bethany Taylor, Stephanie Ward, Ashley Ward, Christopher Ward, Allie Ward and Jessica Ward; and her beloved dogs, Rusty and Sparky.
The service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2009, at Eastside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robbie Waddle officiating.
Burial will follow at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
