From The Lebanon News, January 17 1996: Mr. Curtis Honaker, age 88, of the New Garden Road section of Honaker, Virginia passed away Saturday morning (January 13, 1996) at a Lebanon, Virginia Hospital. Born at Honaker, he was a son of the late Robert and Betty Dye Honaker. He had resided in the Honaker area most of his life and was a member of the New Garden Baptist Church near Honaker. He was a retired coal miner and farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hattie Fuller Honaker of the home; two
daughters, Evelyn J. Ho;naker of Morristown, Tennessee and Janet Honaker of
Honaker; five sisters, Stella Burnette, Niada Romans and Beatrice Burnette all
of Honaker, Mazie Howard of Locust Hill, Virginia and Eula Hammons of Spring
Hill, Florida; one brother, Albert Honaker of Richmond, Virginia; four
grandchildren, Jennifer, Mark, Kalvin and Adara also survive.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home
Chapel, Honaker, Virgnia with Rev. H.G. Musick, Jr. and Rev. H. Gray Smith,
Jr. officiating. Interment followed in Russell Memorial Cemetery at Lebanon,
Virginia.
Relatives and friends served as pallbearers.
Honaker Funeral Home of Honaker was in charge.
