Mr. Basil Don Adams, 71 of Pascagoula, Mississippi died January 16, 2005 at Oschner Hospital in New Orleans after complications during liver surgery.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Adams retired from International Paper Company after 47 years service. He served during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Navy and was a life member of V.F.W. Post 3373. Mr. Adams was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Colin H. and Mae T. Adams and infant daughter, Lisa Diane Adams.
Survivors include his wife, Vee Adams of Pascagoula, daughter, Donna Hester Adams of Pascagoula, brother, Benson Adams of Moss Point, sister, Dixie Reid of Richton, grandchildren, April Balius of Ocean Springs, Kay Campbell of Saucier, Daniel Robinson and Jeremy Robinson of Jacksonville, Fla., 7 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 20, 2005 from 6 until 9 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2005 from Holder- Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Johnny Coggins and Richard Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point.
