Mrs. Effie King, 79, of Noble, passed away Monday night at Richland Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, in Nov. 1964.
Surviving are two brothers, Henry Thompson of Rockford, and Clarence Thompson of Forreston; also several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Liberty Baptist Church in Wakefield, with Elder Scotty Chestnut in charge. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery.
The body will be moved from the Noble Funeral Home to the church in Wakefield at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 o'clock this evening.
She was a member of the Noble Christian Church.
Although she had no children of her own, she gave a home to several foster children from time to time.
