Obituary:
Bertha Eller Love Presnell, 100, of Life Care of Banner Elk and formerly of Vilas, died Sunday afternoon Nov. 12, in Cannon Memorial Hospital in Banner Elk.
The funeral will be 8 o'clock tonight at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Carl Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Presnell was born May 5, 1895, in Avery County to Frank Love and Polly Presnell Love. She was a homemaker and member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Valentine Presnell, and three sons, Troy Presnell, Bill Presnell, and Loye Presnell.
Surviving are four sons, Edward Linzy Presnell, Charlie Arvill Presnell, and Johnny Presnell, all of Zionville, and James Presnell of High Point; a daughter, Ann Wilson of Lexington; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and six great-grand children.
