Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Ennis, 93, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Martinsville Baptist Church in Martinsville, with Dr. Arthur DeLoach and the Rev. George Middlebrook officiating. Interment was in the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
Mrs. Ennis of 1305 Allendale died in a Lufkin hospital Monday morning. She was born on August 6, 1872 in Tennessee and had resided in Lufkin for the past 18 years. Mrs. Ennis was formerly of Chireno and was a member of the Martinsville Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Roy Hurst of Lufkin and Mrs. H. L. Dabney of Austin; sons, R.V. Ennis of Beeville, Dewey Ennis of Chireno and Darwin T. Ennis of Australia; brother, M. F. Green of Houston; sister, Mrs. W. A. Thompson of Houston; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
