C. Milton "Pop" Allen, 85, died Tuesday, January 18, 2005, at his home. Visitation is 4-6 p.m. today at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland and 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Allen was a native of Langford and a longtime resident of Jackson. He was a retired plumber and a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a deacon and member of Parkway Baptist Church for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Carroll DeKrey Allen of Ridgeland; son, James M. Allen of Clear Point, Ala.; daughter, Martha A. (Joy) Snider of Acworth, Ga.; granddaughter, Gwendolyn Brooke Williams; grandsons, Darryl Wayne Allen, James Allen Snider, David Neal Snider; two great-grandchildren; brother, Monroe Allen of Meridian.
