She was a church ministry assistant. She was active in church as a librarian and trustee, historian and usher. She enjoyed her grandchildren, scrapbooking, collectibles, horses, flowers, gardening and music.
Born Oct. 20, 1941, in Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Vern Johnson and the late Marvell Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Jay Willis, children, Cheryl Willis and her husband, Laurence Beulah, Bryan Willis and Kathy and her husband, Thomas Denardi; and grandchildren, Jeffrey Foster and his wife, René Flippin, Nicole and Rebecca Fowler, Faith Willis and Tristin Denardi.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. April 2, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Camp Springs, Camp Springs, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. April 3. The Rev. James Tiefel will officiate. Burial will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 11331 Amherst Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20902.
